Woman dies after central Qld stabbing

A 42-year-old woman has died and a man is in hospital following a stabbing in Central Queensland.
Police say they were called to a Rockhampton address shortly after 6.30pm on Tuesday following reports a woman had been stabbed multiple times.
Officers attempted CPR but she died at the scene.

Police searched the surrounding area and found a man nearby about 8.20pm.
The 45-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition, with what are believed to be self-inflicted injuries.
Police say the man and woman knew each other. A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
