A woman has been charged after she allegedly attacked police who were patrolling a train with a drug-detection dog in Sydney's southwest.

The 25-year-old woman, who was travelling with a male friend, allegedly became aggressive after prohibited drugs were found in her friend's possession at Ingleburn train station on Wednesday morning, police said.

She allegedly pushed one officer to the ground and scratched a second who attempted to arrest her.
