Whip-cracking man targets China consulate

A man cracking a whip has allegedly threatened people outside the Chinese consulate in Sydney.

NSW police allege a man with a large stock whip threatened several members of the public outside the consulate in Camperdown just after 10.30am on March 31.

A 55-year-old man was arrested at a Dee Why home on Thursday morning and charged with attempt to intimidate intend fear of harm and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is due to face Manly Local Court on July 1.
