More than 70 prohibited weapons including stun guns and whips with blades have been seized in northern NSW after police arrested a 44-year-old man with links to the Lone Wolf bikie gang.

Two units in South Lismore and East Lismore were raided on Tuesday morning, with police locating 74 prohibited weapons including knuckledusters, machetes, replica firearms, electronic stun guns, handcuffs, throwing stars, whips containing blades and credit card knives.

Police allege the weapons were imported illegally into Australia after being purchased online.

Detectives from Strike Force Areas have been investigating the weapons smuggling for months.

In October 2016, the strike force targeting the Lone Wolf gang charged nine people with drug supply offences after seizing $5 million worth of cannabis, MDMA and other drugs.
