Couple arrested, weapons seized after long-distance NSW chase

A man and a woman from Queensland have been arrested in Sydney's southwest following a chase over more than 60km involving a police helicopter.
Officers first pursued an allegedly stolen utility about 9am on Thursday in Mittagong.
With the aid of PolAir the vehicle was stopped in Catherine Fields where the 31-year-old male driver and his 19-year-old female passenger were arrested.

Police searched the vehicle and allege they found weapons, including a machete, a rifle and a sword.
Both the man and woman have been refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Friday.
