WA duo found with half kilo of ice in Syd

A man and woman have been charged after NSW police allegedly caught them with more than half a kilogram of ice.

The 36-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, both from Perth, were stopped by police about 5am on Thursday.

Officers searched a nearby car where they allegedly found more than 570 grams of methylamphetamine.

Police will also allege the car had been stolen from Victoria.

The pair have been charged with possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and goods in custody.

They are expected to face Central Local Court on Friday.
