Van Ryn faces sexual assault charges

Ex-Bega Cheese boss Maurice Van Ryn has appeared in a Sydney court on child sex charges.
The once high-flying businessman, who is in Silverwater jail as he awaits sentencing on other matters, appeared via videolink at Central Local Court on Thursday.
Van Ryn, 60, is charged with two counts of indecently assaulting and three counts of sexually assaulting a person under 16.

He is also charged with two counts of assault with an act of indecency and two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.
The nine charges relate to alleged incidents between December 2009 and January 2011.
Van Ryn will appear in Bega Court on June 23.
