Two rescued from burning Sydney home

Two people have been rescued from a burning home in inner Sydney.

Seven trucks were called to the Surry Hills terrace home on Saturday morning and ladders were used to rescue two people, whose details are unknown, from the second storey, NSWFRS Superintendent Paul Johnstone told AAP.

One was treated for smoke inhalation and about 20 people were evacuated from surrounding homes, but no one was hurt.
