Two NSW teens charged with punching man

Two teenagers have been charged with allegedly punching a man and causing injuries that will require surgery.

The 36-year-old man was allegedly approached by four teens outside a railway station in Woy Woy, on NSW's Central Coast, on Tuesday evening.

It's alleged a 14-year-old boy threw punches, hitting the man several times. When the man tried to walk away, he was allegedly hit in the head by a 15-year-old boy, causing him to fall into the gutter. The teens then fled.

The man was treated for multiple facial fractures and is expected to undergo surgery at Gosford Hospital. The two teens were arrested on Wednesday and charged.

The 14-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and affray and was refused bail. He will appear in a Children's Court on Thursday.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with common assault and affray. He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at a Children's Court on Friday.
