Two more NSW arrests over 'pot mail'

Two more NSW men have been charged over an interstate drug trafficking syndicate that distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cannabis in the mail.

The duo, aged 21 and 48, were arrested at Parramatta Police Station on Thursday.

It came almost a month after authorities across NSW, Queensland and South Australia arrested two dozen others and seized more than $388,000 in cash and almost 41kg of cannabis.

Police allege two groups in South Australia used the Australia Post network to send drug packages to associates in NSW and Queensland, who then sold them to local distributors.

It's believed the groups were operating independently and without knowledge of one another, but were both co-ordinated by the same associates in Queensland.

The 48-year-old man was charged with commercial drug supply, cultivating a prohibited plant, dealing with the proceeds of crime and knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.

His 21--year-old co-accused faces charges of drug supply, drug possession and participating in a criminal group.

Both will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Friday.
