Man and woman in hospital after shooting in Sydney's southwest

A man and a woman are in hospital after what police believe was a targeted shooting in Sydney's southwest.

Emergency services were called to O'Donnell Avenue in Greenacre late on Monday following reports of a shooting.

A woman was taken to hospital with a shoulder wound, and police later found a man in hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Both are now in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for information on the shooting, which they say was likely a targeted attack.
