Two charged over Sydney kidnap attempt
Two men have allegedly grabbed a woman from behind and tried to kidnap her before fleeing with her dog in inner Sydney.
The incident occurred on May 1 on Jones Street in Ultimo, with the 19-year-old woman allegedly grabbed by two men who jumped out of a car.
Police say one of the men placed a hand over the woman's nose and mouth before the woman fell to the ground and called out for help.
The other man allegedly took the woman's dog.
Both men fled in the car after a bystander came to the woman's aid.
Police on Wednesday arrested a 24-year-old man in Taree and a 33-year-old man on Friday morning at a Penrith unit.
The younger man faced Port Macquarie Local Court on Thursday on charges of intimidation and was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on June 4.
The older man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday on charges of kidnapping with intent to obtain an advantage.
