Truckie pleads not guilty over cyclist incident inside Sydney tunnel

A truck driver accused of menacing cyclists and filming the alleged incident on his mobile phone while behind the wheel of a large rig has pleaded not guilty to two charges.

Justin Angus allegedly drove through a puddle of water in the Sydney Airport tunnel on the M5 Motorway while next to a group of cyclists in August, drenching them but also recording evidence of the alleged offence on his phone, police say.

He was arrested after a cyclist reported the alleged harassment and was later charged with using a mobile phone while driving and driving a motor vehicle to menace others with intent.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.

Angus is due to return to the same court on November 30.
