Tributes flow for NSW boys killed in crash

Two teenagers killed in a car crash in central NSW have been described as "beautiful souls".

Jackie Omalveney, 14, died just before midnight on Friday night when the vehicle he was travelling in flipped on its roof as the car reportedly swerved to avoid a wombat northeast of Mudgee.

The car was driven by his unlicensed mate Sean Lucas, 16, who died in hospital on Sunday morning.

Sean's cousin Monique Lucas said she had lost a big part of her world.

"I'm honestly lost. I can't get my head around this," she said in a Facebook post.

"I love you my angel."

Jackie's aunt, Leigh Cottie, said it was hard to comprehend the loss of the two boys.

"I can't believe 2 beautiful souls taken away from us too soon. I love u both and will miss u both each and every day," Ms Cottie posted.

Jackie's mother Leonie Omalveney has raised $4430 in a crowdfunding campaign to pay for his funeral - almost doubling the target.

Friends and family are continuing to share their grief for the boys on Facebook.

"2 young boys gone way too soon. Sean Lucas you were one of the funniest cheekiest boys I've ever come across," Jackie Kovacs wrote.

"Rest in peace Jackie Omalveney 14 yrs old gone way too soon. Life ain't fair sometimes, love you little cousin," Mick Austin posted.
