Top cop welcomes NSW's newest recruits

More than 220 new recruits, including six dogs, will be welcomed to the ranks of the NSW police at a ceremony in Goulburn.

The 166 men and 60 women of Class 331 will start on-the-job training after a ceremony with NSW Commissioner Mick Fuller and Minister for Police Troy Grant at the police academy on Friday.

"Police are an integral part of the fabric of the communities they serve and these men and women have worked hard to reach this milestone," Commissioner Fuller said in a statement.

"I congratulate them and their new communities welcome them," he said.
