A third man has been charged over alleged threats to kill NSW Deputy Premier Troy Grant over the decision to ban greyhound racing.

The 25-year-old man was arrested after a search was carried out on his Schofields home in Sydney's west and he was later charged with intimidation and using a carriage service to threaten serious harm, police say.

He has been granted bail and will appear in Blacktown Local Court next month.

Two other men were charged with similar offences after being arrested on Saturday at Molong, near Orange.

It is believed the men, aged 22 and 31, are members of the greyhound industry.
