Syd terror accused face further charges

Terrorism charges have been laid against three men already accused with terror offences in connection with the murder of Curtis Cheng outside a Sydney police station.

Police on Wednesday arrested the three men, who are being held at Goulburn jail.

An 18-year-old from Guildford has now been charged with directing a criminal group and being a member of a terrorist organisation.

He is already facing a charge of aiding, abetting, counselling and procuring the commission of a terrorist act.

A 23-year-old from Merrylands and a 22-year-old from Marsfield were also charged on Wednesday with being members of a terrorist organisation.

Both men are already facing charges of knowingly participating in a criminal group as well as firearm offences in connection with Mr Cheng's murder.

The 23-year-old is charged with supplying a pistol, while the 22-year-old is charged with participating in the supply of a pistol.

Mr Cheng, 58, was gunned down outside Parramatta Police Station on October 2 by 15-year-old schoolboy shooter Farhad Jabar, who was later fatally shot by police.

The 22-year-old is scheduled to face court on Thursday, while the other two men are expected to return to court in February.
