Sydney shooting victim identified

A man who was shot dead on a western Sydney street over the weekend has been identified as 24-year-old Hung Robert Tran.

Police say Mr Tran arrived at the street where he was killed on Saturday night - Jasmine Crescent in Cabramatta - in a white VW Golf.

"This vehicle has not been located, and detectives believe it was stolen from the location shortly after the murder," a NSW police statement said. Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
