Sydney police pursuit ends in crash

A police car chase in Sydney's inner west has ended in a serious crash when a 24-year-old driver ploughed into another car.

Police noticed a green Lancer allegedly driving in a dangerous manner in Leichhardt on Tuesday night and gave chase when the driver failed to pull over.

The car crashed into a Toyota Camry a short time later and both drivers were taken to hospital, with the driver of the Lancer sustaining lower leg injuries, police said.
