Sydney police chase ends in crash

A police chase down Sydney's Princes Highway has resulted in a crash which left one woman in hospital.

The 37-year-old allegedly failed to stop when flagged down by police on Bay Street, Brighton Le Sands, and continued onto the Princes Highway - before running a red light and crashing into a Mitsubishi Lancer.

The driver of the Lancer was uninjured, while the 37-year-old was taken to St George Hospital with an injured ankle.

She was handed a Field Court Attendance Notice for a police pursuit offence under Skye's Law, and is expected to appear at Sutherland Local Court next month.
