A 22-year-old Sydney man has been charged with travelling to a Syrian conflict zone in July 2013 and helping others do the same.
The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team arrested the man in a raid on a Wattle Grove property, in Sydney's southwest, on Tuesday morning and he was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later in the day.
He has been charged with preparing to engage in foreign hostile activities and three counts of supporting or promoting others to do so.
