Power restored to western Sydney homes

Power has been returned to more than 8500 homes and businesses in western Sydney which were blacked out when a fire broke out in a Prospect power station.

It took Endeavour Energy four hours to return power to customers on Friday, saying more interruptions could be ahead.

They're advising customers to conserve their energy use between 4pm and 8pm until repairs to the power station are completed by Monday.
