Sydney driver smashes into pole, trapped

A man has been freed from his car after crashing into a power pole in Sydney's south west.

Paramedics were called to the scene at Wiley Park after the driver veered off the road and into the power pole about 6.15am on Tuesday, a spokesman for NSW Ambulance said.

Emergency services worked for two hours to free the driver, who has been taken to St George Hospital.
