Sydney construction worker fatally crushed at building site

Police and WorkCover are investigating the death of a man who was crushed at a construction site in Sydney’s south-west today.

The 57-year-old was operating earthmoving equipment at a building site in Catherine Field when he became trapped against another piece of machinery at about 10:15am.

Despite colleagues rushing to his aid and the assistance of paramedics, the man died at the scene on Camden Valley Way.

NSW Police are investigating and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
