AAP
The structure of the soon-to-be-establish Greater Sydney Commission has been revealed by Planning Minister Rob Stokes.
The organisation marks a partnership between state and local government, and will be comprised of 13 appointees, who will be responsible for metropolitan planning in Sydney's six districts.
"The six districts will all be represented by a member chosen by their elected local government officials," Mr Stokes said in a statement on Tuesday.

This will enable councils to play a major role in the planning decisions.
The other seven roles will include:
- the chair
- Environment commissioner, economic commissioner and social commissioner
- Government heads for planning, transport and treasury
