Sydney boy charged with gun possession

A 15-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly being caught with a gun in his backpack in Sydney.
Police said officers at Central Railway Station found the boy with a stolen bottle of soft drink, and that a search of his bag uncovered an unloaded pistol.
He has been charged with firearm and theft offences, and was refused bail to appear in Bidura Children's Court on Tuesday.
