Sydney boxing champ backs punch campaign

Former world champion boxer Billy Dib has thrown his weight behind a campaign to end one-punch attacks.
The Sydney super featherweight competitor said while some consider boxing a barbaric sport it involves ring-smarts, unlike senseless street violence.
"For a young person losing their life because they're getting hit for no reason and hitting their head on the floor ... that just causes so much problems for their families and courts," he said.

"Violence is not the key. At the end of the day boxing is a sport, and if it wasn't a sport I wouldn't be doing it."
Mr Dib backed the One Punch campaign, fronted by fellow former world boxing champion Danny Green.
