Syd mum still critical after hit run

A Sydney mother hit and dragged by a car in front of her children remains in a critical condition.

The 29-year-old mother of three, named in media reports as Mariam Daoud, has been in Liverpool Hospital since being struck outside a childcare centre in Bass Hill on Monday afternoon.

Ms Daoud was dragged a short distance by the car that struck her, in view of her young children.

She suffered head injuries and fractures to her pelvis, elbow and leg.

A 26-year-old woman is due to face Burwood Local Court next month, charged with failing to stop and assist after a vehicle accident causing grievous bodily harm and negligent driving.
