Suspicious item found at Sydney house

A specialist police operations team has been called to a house on Sydney's north shore following reports of the discovery of an explosive device.

An exclusion zone has been set up around a house at Atchison Street in Crows Nest.

Police said the suspicious item was uncovered during renovations at the house.
