Suspected serial NSW tyre-slasher charged

A woman has been charged by police investigating 138 separate reports of tyre slashing over the past four months at Newcastle in NSW.
The 44-year-old was nabbed in a raid of a Mayfield property on Thursday and charged with eight counts of malicious damage as well as drug offences.
She was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Friday, with police expected to lay further charges over the spate of tyre slashings.
