* Ms Scott is last seen alive at her workplace Leeton High School about 11am

April 6

* Ms Scott is reported missing by her fiance Aaron Leeson-Woolley

April 8

* Police arrest school cleaner Vincent Stanford, 24, at his Leeton home after allegedly finding a camera with photos of a burned body

April 9

* Stanford is charged with murdering Ms Scott on Easter Sunday and remanded in custody

April 10

* Police divers find Ms Scott's laptop in an irrigation canal on the outskirts of town

* Police on dirt bikes find Ms Scott's burned remains off an isolated dirt road in the Cocoparra National Park, more than 70km from Leeton

April 11

* Family and friends gather in a Leeton park on the day Ms Scott was meant to get married to pay tribute to the much-loved teacher

June 3

* Vincent Stanford is charged with the aggravated sexual assault of Ms Scott before her death

June 10

* Vincent's twin brother Marcus Stanford is arrested in South Australia, accused of playing a role after Ms Scott's murder

June 11

* Marcus Stanford appears in Sydney's Central Local Court after being extradited from SA and is charged with being an accessory after the fact to Ms Scott's murder. He helped his brother by receiving Ms Scott's personal items, including her engagement ring, which he then pawned

September 30

* Both twins make a brief appearance at Griffith Local Court where the matter is adjourned and bail is formally refused

2016

March 31

* Marcus Stanford pleads guilty to the accessory charge via video-link in Griffith Local Court.

* His brother, Vincent, is committed to stand trial in the NSW Supreme Court over the rape and murder of Ms Scott.

July 20

* Vincent Stanford pleads guilty to the murder and sexual assault of Ms Scott in the NSW Supreme Court

August 24

* Marcus Stanford, 25, jailed for 15 months for being an accessory after the fact to her murder with sentence backdated to when he was arrested in June 2015

September 9

* Marcus Stanford freed from Junee Correctional Centre in the state's Riverina

October 11

* Sentence hearing in Griffith Local Court for Vincent Stanford.
