A woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed a man in the chest following an argument at a house on the NSW-Queensland border.

The 44-year-old was arrested at the Tweed Heads property on Wednesday and charged with a number of offences, including intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.

Police say the wounded man managed to ride his bicycle to a Coolangatta home for help before collapsing.
