South coast man hit with multiple charges

A 21-year-old man from the NSW south coast has been hit with a slew of charges after an alleged kidnapping, break and enter and sexual assault in Albion Park in January.

Emergency services were called to a house on the Princes Highway, Albion Park about 5pm on Wednesday 18 January 2017, following reports that a woman had been assaulted.

Initial investigations revealed that a man allegedly broke into a house and confronted a female resident before he sexually assaulted her and punched her in the face.

The man is also charged with assaulting a police officer, who he allegedly hit when polcie tried to track him down and make their arrest.

Within that struggle the man also allegedly dropped two bags of drugs and as a result has also been charged with possession.
