Six men have been charged with murder over the death of a 35-year-old man who was assaulted and stabbed in broad daylight on a southwest Sydney street last year.

Tu Luong was rushed to hospital after the attack in Fairfield East on December 6, but died from his injuries soon afterwards.

Police say they raided five properties across Sydney on Wednesday and arrested five men, aged between 32 and 38, four of whom have already appeared in court and been remanded in custody.
