Sydney beach closed after shark sighting

Sydney's Manly beach has been closed to swimmers after a shark sighting.
A spokesman for local lifesavers has confirmed the sighting at the popular North Sydney Beach.

Sirens were sounded and swimmers were told to leave the water at around 1.30pm on Sunday.
The scare follows the closures of other beaches on the NSW coast.
Newcastle's beaches have been closed for nine days and will stay closed despite no sightings over the weekend.
