Serious injuries for NSW man shot in face

A man has suffered serious injuries after being shot in the face in what police say is a targeted attack in Wollongong.
Police believe the man, who rang emergency services around 2:30pm on Wednesday, was attacked in Joanne St, Woonona but managed to get in his car and drive to nearby Mountain Avenue.
The 29-year-old was airlifted to hospital in Sydney, where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The shooter remained on the loose as of Wednesday night.
