Second person dies after P-plate driver hit pedestrians in Sydney’s inner-west last month

A second person has died after a P-plate driver ploughed into pedestrians in Sydney’s inner-west last month.
The white ute was being driven by a 22-year-old on Victoria Road, Rozelle on December 14 when it mounted the kerb, hitting a man and a woman.
The 47-year-old woman died at the scene, while the 49-year-old man died in hospital on New Year’s Eve.

The driver, who allegedly tried to flee the scene of the crash, now faces a second count of dangerous driving causing death.
He was reportedly apprehended by witnesses when he attempted to run from the site of the accident.
