Rider critical after NSW barrier smash

A middle-aged man is fighting for his life in hospital after seriously injuring his head in a motorbike crash near Wollongong.
The 53-year-old has been airlifted under intensive care to St George Hospital after smashing into a concrete barrier at Woonona, north of Wollongong, on Saturday morning, CareFlight said in a statement.
His pelvis was also injured and he remains in a critical condition.
