Alleged IS supporter charged with plotting terror act inside NSW prison

An alleged Islamic State sympathiser has been charged with planning a terrorist attack from inside one of Australia's most secure jails after he allegedly threatened to kill NSW prisons boss Peter Severin.
Bourhan Hraichie, 19, was moved to Goulburn's SuperMax prison earlier this year after allegedly carving an IS slogan into his cell mate's forehead and pouring boiling water onto the man's face.
Hraichie was on Wednesday charged after allegedly writing a letter threatening to kill Mr Severin, the NSW Corrective Services Commissioner.
The letter that Mr Hraichie allegedly planned to send outside prison contained plans to behead people, Fairfax Media reports.
He faces two terrorism-related offences as well as threatening to kill a person after materials were seized from the southern NSW prison.
The teenager's case is set to be heard at Sydney's Central Local Court next month.
