Pregnant woman punched in Sydney attack
AAP
A pregnant woman has been struck in the ribs and punched in the face during an attempted robbery in Sydney's west.
The 24-year-old was walking along a street in Blacktown about 7.30pm on Monday when she was assaulted and fell to the ground, police say.
The attacker unsuccessfully tried to snatch her handbag before running off and the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
