Postie charged with mail theft

A Sydney postman has been charged with stealing mail.
Police say the 24-year-old man took envelopes containing cash, gift cards and other items of value, while working as a postal delivery driver at a depot in Prestons.
He was charged with five counts of appropriate mail receptacle on Friday, and was bailed to appear in Liverpool Local Court on December 10.
