Possible sightings of missing NSW man

The family of a man missing for 10 days in the Blue Mountains are hopeful he will soon be found after three possible sightings.

Kim Mackell, 64, disappeared after returning to his Blackheath home from the city on December 18.

Police say Mr Mackell arrived at his Shipley Road home about 10pm after he was dropped off by a taxi, but there has been no sign of him since, apart from three possible sightings, two in the Lithgow area and another on Bells Line of Road in northwest Sydney.

A female relative, who preferred not to be named, said the family hopes police follow up those leads as part of their ongoing search efforts.

"Kim has medical conditions requiring medication. The family is very concerned about his wellbeing," she said on Wednesday.

Police and SES volunteers have been searching dense bushland near Mr Mackell's home since Christmas Day.

He was last seen wearing light pants, a chequered shirt, a maroon zip-hooded jacket and boots.
