Possible sighting of Stocco stolen ute

A white Toyota Landcruiser stolen by on-the-run father and son Gino and Mark Stocco is thought to have been spotted at a service station on the Hume Highway in southern NSW.

Police say the vehicle stopped to fill up with petrol at South Gundagai at around 9pm on Saturday before the driver drove off without paying.

It's thought Queenslanders Gino, 58, and Mark, 35, stole the Landcruiser at the beginning of last week and that they have attempted to disguise it, including by changing the number plates.

The vehicle in Saturday's incident had the South Australian plates S415 AZL.

The last confirmed sighting of the fugitive father and son was on Thursday afternoon, when they rammed a police car in St James, northeast Victoria.

Police have urged the public to continue reporting possible sightings but not to approach the men as they have a high-powered rifle and are considered dangerous.
