Police set up exclusion zone after chemical spill at home in Hammondville

Police have set up an exclusion zone around a home in Sydney's south-west after a suspected chemical spill.
About 9.10am police from Liverpool Local Area command were called to Norman Avenue in Hammondville after an occupant located a substance of concern while cleaning out the premises.
Specialist officers are assisting NSW fire and rescue to remove the substance.

A NSW police spokesman said the substance could not be identified at this stage but was believed to be of minimal risk.
