Police ask for public help to find missing NSW woman

Police have asked the public for help to find a missing elderly woman in the Blue Mountains.

Mary Lou Montaigne was last seen by her neighbours at her home on Sherwood Avenue in Springwood on Thursday.

Her family has since reported her missing, prompting officers from Blue Mountains Local Area Command to begin a search for the 74-year-old.

Police hold serious concerns for Ms Montaigne as she suffers a medical condition and may not be totally aware of her surroundings.

Ms Montaigne is described as being Caucasian in appearance and between 165-170cm tall.

She may be driving a silver/grey Toyota Yaris hatchback with the registration CPZ14T.
