Pilot, 82, escapes NSW helicopter crash

An elderly man has escaped with minor injuries from a helicopter crash in NSW's northeast.
Police say a a two-seater RotorWay Exec 162F helicopter crashed onto its side at Lismore Airport about 10.50am on Sunday.
The 82-year-old male pilot, who was practising take-off and landing, was treated at the scene by paramedics for non-life threatening leg injuries.
