Pervert targets sleeping woman in NSW home

A man has entered a woman's bedroom in NSW's Hunter region while she slept before committing a lewd act towards her.

The 52-year-old woman awoke to see the man in the bedroom of her Newcastle home around 5am on Tuesday and followed him to a veranda, where he committed the act before leaving.

Police say he's described as aged in his early 30s, Caucasian, with a slim build and short brown hair.
