A 77-year-old man has been caught red-handed while allegedly burgling a house in Bexley, in Sydney's south.
He was spotted by a witness at around 12.30pm on Tuesday inside a Carrisbrook Avenue home where he had nabbed himself several items of jewellery.
It is alleged he then fled to an adjacent property and was found with housebreaking implements, jewellery and a sum of cash on his person.
