Pedestrian hit and killed by car in Sydney's west

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Sydney's southwest.
Police say that shortly before 11pm on Friday emergency crews were called to the Hume Highway in Liverpool after a man was struck by a car near the intersection with Atkinson Street.
The 66-year-old man died at the scene.

The car's driver was not injured and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
