Pair wanted over attempted taxi carjack

A Sydney taxi has smashed into several parked cars after its two young passengers punched the driver and tried to carjack the cab.
The 50-year-old male driver picked up a young man and woman from Redfern just after 10pm on Monday and was driving them to nearby Glebe when he was assaulted, police have been told.
During the struggle the taxi slammed into several parked cars. The driver received minor facial injuries and the pair fled.
